Industry 1) How were One Direction formed and how is this reflected in the music video for History? They were formed through X Factor and Simon Cowell got them together. 1) What are the key conventions of music video?  Music videos typically feature movement – often fast paced either in terms of actors, camerawork or editing. Many contain a performance element or narrative.
